As you know the Konkani Sammelan Hospitality committee has organized Kids day camps on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 for kids between the age of 6 and 17. We like to Thank You ! for signing up your child(ren) to the Kids Camp. The purpose of the camp is twofold: it will enhance parents' experience of the Sammelan; and the children will be gainfully occupied for the better part of the two days, while learning about our heritage and making new friends. The costs are included in the registration fee.
The Kids Camp is being conducted by HSS (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA). They have tailored a schedule exclusively for our sammelan. Majority of the teachers at the camp are volunteers from Atlanta, GA, however there are a few who are travelling from out of states including - Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and New Jersey. We are thankful to HSS for taking time, effort and commit to a Kids Camp especially during the long weekend.
Please note that HSS will need the REGISTRATION FORM filled which has your child's contact details, medical insurance and consent details. This is a requirement for enrolling in the camp. You can fill the registration form, scan and send a copy to guru.kamath@
The Kids Camp starts at 11:00 right after the Opening Ceremony on Saturday. Please assemble at the suite specially marked for Kids Camp where the instructors will be available to greet and meet with you and your child. We shall be providing light snacks like crackers and cut fruits at the kids camp. There will be a water station close to the suites, we encourage the kids to bring their own water bottle in an effort to go - green.
Lunch will be between 12:00 - 1:00, your children can join you for lunch but make sure that they return back to the class before the classes begins. The schedule for the kids camp is now available for your perusal. At the end of the camp we have made arrangements at the Marriott Hotel next door for the kids to perform on stage for a full one hour between 3:00 - 4:00 pm, Sunday July 3rd. Check at the Registration Desk for more details.
Please note that Children have to necessarily be checked in and out at all times. They can be checked in or out at anytime during the duration of the camp. Please let the instructors know in advance. For rules to be followed at the camp, please take a look at the Parents Handbook for do's and dont's. The Parents Handbook provides you with a lot of details regarding the camp, please take time to read the contents in detail. If you have any questions or suggestions please let us know.
We hope your child has the time of his life at the sammelan and cherishes the moments he/she spends for years to come. We look forward to hear from you.
